Our story begins in uniform — and our mission has never changed.
We met while serving at the 180th Fighter Wing, Air National Guard in Toledo, Ohio, where our shared commitment to service and finance brought us together. We both began our military careers working in military and civilian pay as enlisted members, ensuring Airmen were paid accurately and on time. We understood early that behind every LES is a family depending on financial stability.
As our careers advanced, so did our leadership.
Robert commissioned and became the Budget Officer, later promoting to Comptroller, overseeing Wing-level financial operations and fiscal accountability. Angelia transitioned into Accounting and Travel Pay full time, while supporting Budget operations part time. Our foundation was built on integrity, stewardship, and precision — protecting both taxpayer dollars and the service members who earned them.
After 10 years of service, Angelia stepped away from the military to focus on raising our family. We were blessed with three beautiful daughters — Alesia, Annessa, and Meagan. During that season, Angelia launched and operated a Once Upon A Child franchise, gaining valuable experience in business ownership, leadership, and community service.
Although Angelia left active duty, she never left the mission.
She continued volunteering in Family Readiness and served as the Acting Key Spouse to the Wing Commander at both the 180th Fighter Wing and later the 125th Fighter Wing in Jacksonville, Florida. Walking alongside families during deployments, financial strain, and life transitions deepened her passion for serving military families beyond the uniform.
In 2013, Robert transferred to the 125th Fighter Wing in Jacksonville, Florida, where our family planted long-term roots. During this time, Angelia became a Financial Planner and Realtor, dedicating her career to helping military families build wealth through strategic homeownership and wise use of VA benefits.
Robert continued advancing in leadership, serving as the United States Property and Fiscal Officer (USPFO), overseeing federal property and fiscal operations for the state. He concluded his distinguished 38-year military career at Andrews Air Force Base, serving as an Advisor to the Director of Finance for the Air National Guard, where he oversaw special programs and national financial initiatives.
During this time, Robert built and implemented the transformative “Days for Dollars Program,” reshaping financial execution processes and changing how Air National Guard bases operate financially across the country. His legacy is one of innovation, accountability, and lasting impact.
